4G (4th-Generation Technology)



LTE is the next generation of mobile communications technology designed to move very large amounts of data. This technology is said to be frugal and efficient manner, by optimizing the use of frequency bandwidth and access speeds as light as a fiber raised in the air.

4G technology, or 4th-generation technology, refers to the development of mobile phone technology. 4G is the development of 3G technology. Typically this technology is called IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) with the term "3G and beyond".
Then, what the pros 4G? 4G Systems can provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and multimedia flows can be up to users anytime and anywhere, with average data speeds higher than the previous generation.
There are several opinions about the 4G, of which 4G will be IP-based system is fully integrated. This will be achieved when the wired and wireless technologies translated and capable of producing speeds 100Mbps and 1Gbps.
Later, each 4G handset will automatically have an IPv6 number equipped with the ability to interact with an Internet telephony-based Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

- WiMAX 16.d, or often called nomadic WiMAX with mobility limited to a speed of 70 Mbps
- WiMAX 16.e, a mobile WiMAX with high mobility speeds up to 144Mbps.
- 16.m WiMAX, mobile WiMAX with the highest mobility while until speeds 1Gbps.
In Indonesia, the technology is already tried to implement in June last by the operator trademark Sitra Firstmedia with WiMAX. Reportedly, First Media to invest their money amounting to 350 million U.S. dollars to develop high-speed wireless Internet service based on WiMAX technology for up to 10 years into the future.
As known, Sitra WiMAX is part of the Lippo Group and the latest trademark of PT Firstmedia language. Sitra WiMAX 4G Wireless Broadband will serve first in densely populated areas in Indonesia, namely Jakarta and surrounding areas, and also have the right to license most expensive BWA, including in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Banten Province, North Sumatra and Aceh Province.
Sitra WiMAX operates at 2.3 GHz frequency band spectrum with wider coverage and faster transmission capacity reaching 75 Mbps. Services in the near future will be held in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Banten.
Sitra own bid for the zone Wimax Northern Sumatra (Sumbagut), Greater Jakarta and Banten province. Sitra Wimax himself had escaped operation acceptance tests (ulo) by DG Postel in mid-June 2010.
In addition to WiMAX, there is technology LTE (long-term evolution) are also part of the 4G. What is LTE? LTE is also called as the evolution of mobile communications technology to the broadband network (broadband) IP as a whole (end-to-end).
